Daily Duties at Gold Coast Schools:

Position Overview: The Admissions Director works directly with the management and general business operations of the company by supervising and managing the sales and customer service functions handled by Campus Directors and Career Counselors, and exercising discretion and independent judgment to help improve the performance of these critical personnel. Tasks • Develop training materials and conduct training programs to facilitate the integration and training of new Career Counselors and Campus Directors. • Observe and evaluate the customer service and sales functions performed by Career Counselors and Campus Directors to determine effectiveness, and create opportunities for personnel improvement, through ongoing coaching. • Coordinate with the IT Director to ensure optimal performance of the phone system, call handling procedures, reporting, etc. • Anticipate staffing needs in advance. Recruit, train, and develop new Career Counselors and Campus Directors as needed. • Assist the Operations manager by ensuring that work schedules are accurate, and locations are properly staffed. • Assist with all other duties as assigned. Skills • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet, and the Avaya phone system. • Critical thinking, independent judgment, and decision making. • Excellent customer service skills, including a pleasant demeanor and tactfulness. Attributes • Oral Expression - The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand. • Oral Comprehension - The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. • Speech Clarity - The ability to speak clearly so others can understand you. • Speech Recognition - The ability to identify and understand the speech of another person. • Written Comprehension - The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing. • Written Expression - The ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand. • Problem Sensitivity – The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. • Deductive Reasoning – The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
