Daily Duties at Abbott Labs:
Senior Programmer Analyst/Development analyst at Abbott As a Mainframe Application Developer • Lead enhancements on Mainframe FAB, KAP and TAR Systems with COBOL and DB2 provided analysis, design, and programming support for all enhancements. • Completed required enhancements to process with SAP Symphony interfaces. • Interacted with offshore team. • Enhanced processing to work with DEA website and send results to the DEA quarterly. • Added new state processing for TAR narcotic drug processing for multiple states. • Carried out impact analysis of existing application to develop detailed specifications for enhancement of modules according to client and business requirements. • Developed project plans based on scope document and committed timelines in consultation with all major stakeholders. • Collaborated with various interfacing teams, interacted with the project and provided complete support for all client projects, entirely through the complete software life cycle of projects. • Delivered all activities with the team on time and with quality. •Executed development and maintenance projects in mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and DB2 on batch systems. • Documented all processes effectively and provided continuous production support activities for all deliverables from the team.
