Daily Duties at Option Care Infusion Company:

Provide in-home physical patient assessment. Create and implement a personalized plan of care based on assessment. Commitment to comprehensive patient teaching; Disease progression, signs/symptoms of infection, side effects of medication, times to call emergency services. Confirmed and effectually implement Physician orders. Exhibit the ability to act as liaison between Physician, patient and pharmacy. Immediately report changes in patient condition. Put into action Physician ordered changes in treatment. Inform patient of treatment change and rationale for change in treatment. Consistently demonstrate the ability to safely infuse IV products in accordance with Professional License and Company Policies/Procedures; Hydration-fluids/electrolytes, Antibiotics, Steroids, Plasma derived Products-Blood clotting factors, Anti-emetics, Nutrition replacement and Pain Management products. Safe and efficient start/maintenance and discontinuation of all types of peripherally inserted intravenous catheters. Maintain a high proficiency insertion rate and low infection rate related to the care for all Centrally placed catheters. Ability to obtain essential blood samples from all types of intravenous catheters. Provide wound care as prescribed by Physician. Maintain adequate,essential mobile medical supplies. Initiate accountability and cost effective strategies for all mobile medical supplies.
