Primary responsibility focused on identifying and cataloging instances of sensitive and confidential data throughout enterprise wide electronic data systems. Secondary tasks involved preparing and organizing analysis results for further downstream systems application remediation efforts and metrics for managerial reports. Determined data discovery rules and enforced consistent sensitive data identification strategies while performing initial and peer reviews of scanned data using Symantec DLP scanning software. Designed additional scanning tools for finding sensitive data and removed non-sensitive data from further consideration. Continuous improvements and automated tools reduced manual analysis efforts by 75%. Produced risk analysis reports based on levels of data exposure by data type, data volume, user, and potential financial loss. Followed Agile and SCRUM methodologies while working in a highly collaborative and team oriented environment. Project produced highly accurate results and task assignments were successfully completed two months ahead of schedule.
