Daily Duties at Best Friends, Inc:
Provide support and manage 52 pet stores, including 13 veterinary hospitals, corporate office associates, corporate servers, Level 3 data center and supervise one IT support member. Ensure that network and servers are performing at all times with remote access to network shares. Working with ISP suppliers to negotiate contracts for telephony and data. Procure equipment, such as PCs, servers, switches and routers. Manage and maintain Microsoft volume licensing for all programs in use, Microsoft Office suite, server, Sonicwall, terminal server and SQL licenses. Manage daily backup of corporate servers and shared folders. Install/configure and manage Microsoft Exchange 2008 email server, security groups, distribution groups and end users. Manage and install Axis webcams at day care stores for live viewing on the website. Manage and install/configure Verifon CC terminals at each of the stores that varied between 2 and 5 credit card terminals. Also support connectivity issues with Verizon, as well as procure and register Verifin credit card terminals. With a budget of $250,000, plan and develop COLO Level 3 data center HP ProLiant Blade servers to include Microsoft Hyper-V application server for customer developed Kennel Management System that includes 6 Microsoft 2012 application servers, one Microsoft 2012 Domain controller with active directory and group policies. One Microsoft SQL database server for in-house kennel management system. In addition, on a monthly basis test HP ProLiant Blade servers, by forcing a server shut down. Manage corporate Mitel VOIP system, setting up phone extensions, user accounts for voicemail
