Daily Duties at El Paso Global Networks (Epgn):

Responsible for the Budget OPEX/CAPEX, Design, Detail Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Implementation, Operation, and ongoing Management for all aspects of Inside Plant Engineering, Other responsibilities included Wholesale Sales Engineering, and Project Management for all Capital Asset Deployments. Establish policy and procedure for the development of installation and configuration procedures for DWDM, CWDM, SONET, Digital Cross Connects DC Plants, etc.Provide for effective interfaces between the engineering departments and cross-functional work teams in the design and implementation of information technology. Support, development, and implementation of the Operational Support System. Perform contractual management responsibilities, requests for proposals (RFP), vendor selection, and contract monitoring. Plan, design, and implement integrated engineering software applications and processes. Measure and evaluate methodology and systems, and recommend changes to reduce costs and improve performance. Management and development of system standards, short and long term goals, project management, establishment/administration of O&M and CAPEX budgets, and strategic directions.
