Daily Duties at Black & Decker :

• Sales and Use Tax Reporting: Using CorpSales from CorpTax to prepare Sales and Use Tax Returns for all fifty states. • Prepared files sent form other locations to be imported into the Sales and Use software to pre- pare the returns. • Prepared payments and processing EDI/EFT payments. Researching any differences between the system and State Reports. • Personal Property Reporting: Using Crystal Reports to extract personal property information from CLR Fixed Asset System, and then importing the file into Excel. • Formatted Excel Spreadsheet to be imported into the PTMS (Property Tax Management System) software, assigned asset types by state and verifying that all information has been accounted for. • Ran reports from the SAP fixed asset system to cross check data. • Prepared property returns, mailing and processing payments when bills are received Researched any problems between assessments and bills, and any other research that may be necessary. Other Responsibilities: Prepared work papers for Legal Fee and Contribution deductions for Federal Tax Returns, preparing work papers and schedules for fixed asset portion for Federal Tax Return, working on preparing documentation and file setup for new fixed asset system, preparing Corporate and International Tax documentation to support tax returns, completing excel spreadsheets, using Sap to down load general ledger information needed to complete various supplemental tax schedules, doing research into outstanding items, and verifying costs to insure that they were correct and in the right general ledger account, reconciling general ledger accounts related to taxes, preparing and filing State Personal Property Tax Returns for all 50 states, preparing and filing Unclaimed Property Returns for those states were property exists, and other projects as needed.
