Daily Duties at Casey Family Programs:
- Provided technical expertise in strategic philanthropic engagement, resource mapping, sustainability planning, Medicaid, capacity building with child welfare and youth development agencies. - Produced 100+ reports or rapid response briefs for executive branch leaders on topics ranging from funding for human services, transportation and housing, child maltreatment, community responses to addiction and family income supports for multi-sector collaborations. - Presented economic development, Medicaid and child welfare funding strategies for Communities of Hope initiative sites in Alabama, Florida, Louisiana and Maryland. - Co-facilitated a $15M five-year, six-site youth employment project for foster youth that produced new research with the Institute for Educational Leadership and Johns Hopkins University. - Assisted the Northern Shenandoah Valley Substance Abuse Coalition medical leaders and other community partners to raise more than $1M in new assets to combat opioid abuse in rural Virginia. - Subject matter expert: Assist states in using Medicaid to finance evidence-based practices in substance abuse disorder, child welfare and educational (particularly special education and foster youth) settings.
