Daily Duties at Welgen, Inc.:

Worked with yeast expression system: constructed recombinant pDNAs and yeast strains, performed pilot fermentations in flasks, analysed protein expression by SDS-PAGE, coomassie and silver staining, estimated antibacterial activity by plate assays, determined MIC in 96-well plates. As the Research Scientist worked with the literature, discussed optimization of experimental conditions with president and team members, did experiments according to established optimized protocols and organized results to deliver the product as soon as possible.
