Daily Duties at Mortara Instrument Inc.:
Managed manufacturing, distribution, and supply chain personnel to ensure that $120MM of customer orders were produced and shipped within required 3 day lead time. Develop S&OP plan with Sales and Marketing and review the plan against actual results on a weekly basis to identify needed changes. Managed and coordinated $55MM global supply chain activities and projects to improve inventory turns, reduce overall inventory, and reduce component lead time. Managed labor and expenses to ensure that expenses remain within $40MM budget and to identify trends showing areas for improvement. Review KPI's for Operations with staff and senior management weekly. Negotiated and reviewed vendor contracts to check compliance with improvement goals and renegotiated when necessary. Reviewed and negotiated freight contracts to reduce freight expenses. Develop strategic plans and tactics to support overall company goals and review each quarter with staff and management.
