Daily Duties at Macy's:
Led Engagement, Preventative Strategies, and Internal Dispute Resolution and Complex Investigations for the Southeastern United States including Puerto Rico for 26,000 employees in 197 stores. Developed and recommended strategies to leadership teams that improved associate engagement. The Southeast Region improved engagement by 12 % within a 2- year period. Presented strategy and reviewed successes with company’s corporate Chief Officers, including CEO; that served as best practices within company. Analyzed and developed strategies that reduced trends in discrimination activity, liability and resulted in a reduction of EEO charges for the Southeast and South Central Regions. Investigated complex, high level and sensitive Executive situations and represented company in pro-se arbitrations that resulted in 100% of arbitrations being dismissed or found in favor of company. Served as expert consultant and trained Store VP’s, Human Resource Managers, Directors of Human Resources on workplace violence, sexual harassment, employment law, reasonable suspicion, complex workplace disputes and crisis situations. Collaborated with cross functional teams to develop and implement an innovative companywide attendance program and policy that resulted in the reduction of workload for Human Resource Managers, high associate engagement and improved attendance. Negotiated with in house and outside counsel on monetary settlements on third party cases that reduced legal payouts and expenses by 50 percent. Managed and developed a team of high performing Directors across the country ranked among the top 3 in the nation.
