Daily Duties at Bank Of New York Mellon:
Serves as senior software engineer and technical lead for full lifecycle development and maintenance of the NSCC suite of products with many connection points to internal applications and the external Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) entity that communicates with broker dealers. Knowledgeable regarding National Securities Clearing Corporation (NSCC) Fund/Serv, Networking, Mutual Fund Profile, and Alternative Investments products. Assumed responsibility for implementing DTCC Important Notices. Familiar with Web based solutions and how they interface with legacy systems. Gathers business user specifications and designs software solutions to facilitate continuous interaction with core and complex record keeping system functions, such as stacked/blended commissions, Rights of Accumulation, CDSC, Clearing and Trust Dealers and 529 plans. Supervises and mentors less-experienced team members. Provides off-hours application support. Reviews and manages applications issues reported by internal and external users.
