Build global consistency in the contract review and revenue recognition process. Provide expert analysis and advise in the area of revenue recognition accounting. Collaborate globally with multiple accounting teams to bring global efficiency and consistency to the contract revenue review process Create a collaborative relationship between sales and accounting related to revenue recognition goals Provide sales teams with expert advise during the contracting process to ensure business goals are met within compliance with U.S. GAAP accounting standards Achieve business goals through education efforts for sales on revenue recognition issue avoidance Author corporate accounting guidance related to revenue recognition for cloud products, software as a service, and software appliance accounting Integrate acquired company’s contract templates with IBM revenue policy and goals while ensuring their compliance with U.S. GAAP standards for revenue recognition Drive a high level of accounting control by developing and maintaining tools for contract review such as the Global Accounting Contract Review data base, and contract review checklist and template Drive efficiency, consistency and effective controls through various special projects
