Daily Duties at Chicago Police Department:

Supervising a Counter terrorism team responsible for developing threat assessment reports for large events, high level protectee movement, critical infrastructure and vulnerability reporting, Computer monitoring of criminal activity and high level briefings to Chain of Command as well as Federal Law Enforcement partners (FBI,DHS,ICE,etc). Suspicious activity reporting. Managing and training terrorism liason officers responsible for collecting actionable field intelligence specific to terrorism related crimes or events. Creation and distribution of situation awareness reports during critical incidents involving potential for mass casualties. Ensuring connectivity among intelligence community. Monitoring and reporting when appropriate information regarding International and National threats and violent actors.
