5/2006 to 6/2006 Post-Academy Spanish/Law Instructor Nogales, AZ • Provided instruction to Border Patrol Agent trainees at the Nogales, Arizona Border Patrol station. 11/2000 to 5/2006 Border Patrol Agent Tucson, Sector, Nogales Station • Apprehended, prevented, and deterred the entrance of terrorists and undocumented immigrants into the United States. • Prepared and presented - Entry without Inspection cases, Expedited Removal cases, Alien Smuggling cases, Drug smuggling cases and Vehicle seizures. • Conducted sign cut, train check, checkpoint, and line watch operations. • Gathered intelligence through the use of seismic, magnetic, and infrared sensors as well as surveillance and illegal alien traffic patterns. • Offered assistance in developing a plan to deal with problematic situations presented to employees who are experiencing personal problems, before they become chronic; and assist them in the reduction and recovery from critical incident trauma. • Deciphered codes used by alien and drug smugglers with the used of scanners.
