Daily Duties at U.S. Border Patrol Foreign Operations Branch:

Develop a proactive partnership and trained foreign intelligence and police units on subjects that ranged from intelligence gathering, interviewing techniques and common practices used by U.S. law enforcement authorities Worked with other SDC units and stations to develop intelligence and identify locations of active kidnappings and violence occurring along the border. Shared information with GoM for bi-national operational planning and coordinated response with ILU, stations and SIU in support of U.S. law enforcement Deployed assets as needed to address all issues related to bandit and border violence. Support other sector assets in translating official documents to the Spanish language Worked with other Border Patrol Sectors, federal agencies (ERO/OFO/HSI/FBI/IRS/DEA/AUSA) State and local law enforcement agencies along the border to combat translational criminal organizations Liaison with nonprofit organizations who help trafficking and smuggling victims. Created new ways to improve the reporting of information –sharing with Mexican authorities and cut down on time spend making it more efficient Focus on developing a greater understanding of policy and work systems and share that knowledge with subordinates
