Organized all NCVHS Subcommittee on Standards hearings, drafted and finalized responses on behalf of the Subcommittee chairs and coordinated all correspondence to the Secretary. Developed the strategy and authored two sets of regulations adopting the ICD-10 medical code set, after three decades of inactivity/lack of progress in making the transition. Received Adminis-trator’s Citation for ICD-10 regulation work and Secretary’s Medallion for ICD-10 and electronic prescribing innovations. Oversaw the operations of the HIPAA Transaction and Code Set Enforcement program, manag-ing an online portal, and directing the work of staff in evaluating, analyzing, and fulfilling violation complaints. Developed audit guidelines for enforcement.
