I started as a staff person when the RMSBG only had 3 employees and through the years I moved up to be a Senior Audit Manager and the company had approx. 50 employees, Through the years I did a lot of the grunt type work and traveled to clients. Later in my career I moved up to be the supervisor and mentor to the younger staff. As a staff person I would perform audits, reviews and compilations, of which entails validating the accuracy of the client financial information, depending on the service. As I moved up through the ranks I started to supervising others, performing analytical testing, review staff work papers and provide suggestions. individuals at higher levels also held mentor meetings to help the younger staff succeed in there profession and to have a well balanced life.
