Daily Duties at Spirit Aero Systems:
Deputy Program Manager of the Business and Regional Jet Segment of Wichita Operations for Spirit AeroSystems, Inc., a position he assumed in May 2014. This role involved program management of the Rolls Royce Nacelle package in support of the Gulfstream G650 Aircraft. Prior to assuming this role, I was the MRO Program Manager for the Global Customer Support and Services Business Segment-Wichita for the company. I also supported business development initiatives the last year with Spirit and was a key focal in proposal development of large opportunities. Since June of 2005 when Spirit was formed, following the divesture of the Commercial Airplanes Wichita Division from Boeing, I held multiple positions, including Deputy Program Manager, Business Development Manager, Supply Chain Manager for the 787 Program, Operations Manager, and Proposal Manager for the Global Customer Support and Services Segment.
What they like about Spirit Aero Systems:
A hiring company that offers alternative approaches to pay, performance bonuses, and/or equity in the firm is very attractive to you. You're generally less interested in working for an organization offering only traditional, salary-based compensation, one with limited opportunity to acquire equity in the firm, or one that does not actively promote skill development. In addition, you are more likely to choose a company that offers a variety of internal career options, with defined career paths. You view the learning of new skills and development of your expertise as key to your career advancement. These aspects of an organization may become even more important to you as you progress in your field, and are especially critical if you change career or occupation.
