Daily Duties at Highland Medical Center:

• Established annual Performance Improvement Plan and accompanying reporting calendar • Assisted staff in recognition of opportunities for improvement, analysis of data, development of action plans, and reassessment • Organized monthly Performance Improvement Council meetings – data presentation (CRAF format), analysis, trending, comparison; dissemination of recommendations/comments to facility directors, medical staff committees and Board • JCAHO liaison – coordinated successful (97%) 2003 survey • Facilitator and resource for regulatory requirements including state and federal statutes, CMS CoPs, TMF initiatives/projects, TDH, JCAHO, etc. • Participated in CHS - Texas Division Quality Managers group • Coordinated Medical Staff Peer Review process and maintained physician quality files • Oversight of FMEA initiatives and RCA completion • Managed facility occurrence report system – assisted with data analysis, and trending as well as reporting and follow through to appropriate committees • Facility liaison and coordinator involving litigation/litigious event; prepared staff for depositions • Aggregated, analyzed, trended and reported patient and staff complaints – responded to same as needed • Established annual Risk Management Plan • Chair Patient Safety Committee • Assisted in organizing facility wide National Patient Safety Goal education • Directed facility Infection Control Program • Organized Infection Control Committee meetings including data presentation (CRAF format), analysis, trending, comparison; dissemination of recommendations/comments to facility directors, medical staff committees and Board • Member of the following committees/teams: Ethics, EOC, Staffing Effectiveness, Nursing Leadership, and A-Team • Continuous availability to provide resources/participation in organizational projects impacting the quality of care and/or safety of the facility and its customers
