Daily Duties at Itaas:

 Technology involved - Oracle 10g, 9i Linux UNIX environment.  Installed, upgraded, patched Oracle 10g, 9i on Oracle Enterprise Linux.  Created automated scripts for Roll Partitions for high volume transactions.  Created partitions at data level and index level and created separate tablespaces at data level and index levels.  Managed ongoing Oracle database maintenance install, configure, support and apply patches and upgrades from 9.2.0.4 to 9.2.0.8 on 9i databases and upgrades from 10.2.0.1 to 10.2.0, 3 for security related patches.  Scheduled cron jobs and OEM jobs for doing automated OS and DB tasks.  Monitored database performance by using Statspack report and AWR.  Used Oracle Data Pump for Export/Import of schemas from different DB’s.  Used TOAD, PL/SQL Developer Tool, SQL Procedures & Packages.  Optimized stored procedures, Packages, Triggers for faster performance.  Used EXPLAIN PLAN, AUTOMATED SQL Tuning, etc., to fine tune queries, improve performance & reduce CPU I/O.  Used SQL Trace and TKPROF for application tracing for Instance, Session and Module levels.  Managed Data Mapping & Data Model Changes using DDL and DML scripts.  Used Toad Data Modeler for Data Modeling.  Used X-manager for Unix AIX environment.  Used CVS, SVN for Version Control.
