I managed all Legal, Financial, Human Resources, and IT functions for a national association representing the highest ranking agriculture official in all 50 states and four territories, employing 3,700+ people in 49 states • Developed, tracked, and reported on the $20+ million annual budget ensuring compliance with GAAP, GAAS, and other federal reporting requirements. • Completely revised the accounting system by changing the chart of accounts, changing accounting software and migrating one system to the other, and changing the method of accounting from modified cash to accrual. • Changed reporting format and included allocations of costs across functional areas. • Supervised 500+ Supervisory Enumerators and 3500 enumerators in 49 states • Coordinated legal issues with outside counsel • Wrote and amicus curiae brief to the U.S. Supreme Court representing the association • Responsible for management of IT • Supervised a Headquarters accounting staff of 2, and an administrative staff of 2. • Worked with Board, EVP/CEO and staff to create and implement a strategic plan.
