Daily Duties at St. Francis Medical/Acquired By Kyphon/Acquired By Medtronic Spine & Biologics:

Hired to launch the X-Stop IPD device in the Western United States. Trained surgeons, managed 10 distributors and grew sales in 11 months from zero to $6 million in Q4 2006. As we were acquired by Kyphon I was originally tasked to train and launch the X-Stop to the Kyphon 330 direct salesforce. After this was successfully completed I was given an Area Sales Manager role to manage a team of 8 salespeople and grow revenue with both product lines. Turned an underperforming area of losing $5 million a year to being a positive $15 million a year the next year by adding customers, selling a broader product mix and better penetrating current customers. My job remained the same when Medtronic purchased Kyphon, took over the underperforming Pacific Northwest division and turned around the team by removing underperformers, coaching to expectations, setting expectations and building morale. The Area soon became profitable and was meeting sales expectations or exceeding them by producing over $10 million in sales reveune.
