Daily Duties at Wsp|Parsons Brinckerhoff:
• Managed and supported all CAD related tasks for the Garrison Energy Center Combined Cycle Power Plant. • Established CAD standards for PlantSpace Design Series (PSDS) & Microstation V8i for the Power business unit: Manual, seed files, styles, dgnlibs, print dgnlibs, layout and model spaces, workspace, etc. • Successfully automated processes (i-model daily session), drawing creation/annotation and Microstation batch plotting. • Supported PSDS users (all disciplines). Improved the work flow standardization and consistency in the use of PlantSpace and Microstation. • Wrote and managed piping specifications for 3D SpecMaker. • ACAD 2013-2016: Drafting, setting up templates, ctbs, profiles, etc. • Wrote technical documents for users to improve communication and consistency in design. Enforced procedures to improve quality of CAD deliverables. • Successfully planned and implemented the next generation of design tools from Intergraph Smart3D and SDB-SPRD. Responsible for planning, budgeting, managing, coordinating software deployment and training of in-house users. Created and managed a pilot combined cycle power plant for the six months using S3D, SPRD. • Implemented Smart Plant Reference Data and created 12 piping specs. • Implemented and customized SmartPlant P&ID (SPP&ID) for the power division. Served as administrator and support for this application. Created new SPP&ID standards for the Power division. Trained new users of SPP&ID. • Draftsman for all disciplines for the combined cycle power plant: GA’s, plot plans, mechanical, piping, P&ID, pipe supports, electrical. • Drafted P&IDs using the Plant Space P&ID tool. Modelled piping using PlantSpace Modeler (3D) and extracted isometrics for a new Superheater for the combined cycle power plant. Completed and closed the power project with final CAD deliverables to the client (Calpine). • Draftsman for Caltrans Sunol civil-electrical project drawings and details (last five months).
