Daily Duties at Ikea Distribution Center:
Accountable for daily operations of over 1.8M sq ft of warehouse space and overseeing a total of 70 direct reports at one time, Full P&L accountability to insure profitability and meeting or exceeding budget goals. Maintained World Class KPI’s of standards in inventory control, cost control, on time delivery, and safety. Performed HR functions, including hiring, training, retention, and management of direct reports and associates with responsibilities in operations, distribution, planning, inventory, forecasting, information systems, and reverse logistics. Excelled by utilization of all modes of transportation for domestic and international shipping including truckload, contract carrier, and sea or rail containers while complying with all D.O.T. regulations. Directed a daily operation that includes receiving, warehousing, inventory management, labor and order management, customer order picking, and shipping. Acted as Safety Captain and adhered to OSHA compliance.
