Daily Duties at C&D Aerospace / C&D Zodiac:

Originally joined the Quality Assurance team, leading the Material Testing Laboratory and Non-Destructive Inspection operations as a Level III Ultrasonics Technician responsible for developing and approving Inspection methods for composite aircraft assemblies. Transitioned into Project & Program Management roles and lead several design, certification and production projects. Acted as the liaison for any customers involved on those projects and often was at the customer sites for Performance Review, New Product Introduction projects and also for Marketing efforts working directly with potential Airline Customers purchasing aircraft. In 2011, all aircraft interior work was relocated to our facilities in California, Mexico and Brazil. We then focused entirely on advance composites and won a large statement of work on the new Boeing 787. We had three primary customers (partners) and supplied large frames and smaller components/assemblies that would be assembled into the fuselage. With my CI / Lean experience I was promoted to Production Manager and held accountable for developing manufacturing processes, lines, and cells to meet customer demands for Delivery and Quality.

What they like about C&D Aerospace / C&D Zodiac:

Working for a company with an emphasis on social values and helping society is a clear and important priority for you - a critical factor in who you choose to work for. In contrast to other factors, you place an organization's reputation for fairness and concern for the community above most other aspects of the company. As you search for a new job opportunity, it is usually possible to find out if the company is involved in the community and/or if it is addressing problems and issues in society. Pay special attention to non-profit organizations and those specifically involved in social action. Moreover, speaking with current and former employees should enlighten you to perceptions of the fairness of the company's leaders and the treatment of employees.
