Daily Duties at Bp America:
Responsible for generation of Select and Define (FEED) Stage engineering of a SPAR mounted offshore production facility in the Gulf of Mexico. Led and directed a team of 15 discipline engineers in their engineering design activities (calculations, drawings, equipment lists, piping schedules, etc.). Point of contact for communications with the engineering contractor who employed 200 engineering and project staff at the height of their activities. Responsible for the design deliverables included PFDs, Process Capacity Studies, General Layout Drawings, Structural Arrangements, Mechanical Equipment Lists, Load Lists, Electrical One-lines, Control Block Diagrams, and Safety Studies and Reviews. Pre-commissioning and Commissioning requirements were developed including system layout and identification. Ensure project design achieved all operation requirements and accountable for ensuring that project met all BP Corporate Governance requirements. Monitor project progress, cost, risks, and quality to identify trends and correct as necessary. Ensure all safety, company, and industry standards were met.
