He manages and organizes the R&D functions and his experience allows him to master process Scale-Up and Technology Transfer to approving of documents at all levels of plant processes: • Implements management tools to solicit and drive the company's business to champion R&D strategic opportunities. Adheres to business resilience, business continuity (minimizing down-time) and asset recovery strategies; • etablished DIERS expert in Safety valves and secondary Rupture Disks and conducts Safety and Environmentally feasibility studies for several companies; • A subject matter expert and laboratory leader within a cGLP standards (including documentation) laboratory that adhere to government regulations; • He is highly experienced in Technology Transfer, Process Validation and Process Safety and Scale-Up; • He is an renown in Toxic Catastrophe and Prevention Act (NJ-TCPA); Crises Management and Business Resilience with a concise understanding of Safety Operating Envelopes; • Approves design of scrubbers, flares and TOUs equipment for various industrial & pharmaceutical use to mitigate toxicity; • Manages the design strategies to treat, handle and minimize the foot-print of CO2, H2S and global-warming gases as effluent. • He often champions Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) strategies under cGMP from his staff; • He has consulted and worked extensively with CRO, CMO in situations when worked has to be farmed out. Managing timelines and issues concerning impurities and safety from a strategic perspective; • Conducts two-day courses and seminars on Technology Transfer, Process Safety and Scale-up to the process industry; • His oversees a complete process safety & engineering laboratory that includes several process safety & stability instruments/calorimeters that are adiabatic, isothermal and screening, as well as Ovens and high pressure reactors. His specific experience, include: • Managing rocess Safety Laborator: Guides novel approaches to predict stability/thermal aging: oversee development to characterize and predict aging of compounds, including chemical/biochemical/small molecule; • Transportation and storage of Dangerous Goods (SADT): Mangement of SADT for resins, chemicals and waste to be stored and transported as “Dangerous Goods”. The safety lab uses calorimetry/stability testing to champion more reliable approaches to handle dangerous goods that are outliers in the UN Guideline for SADT determination. • Secondary Relief Sizing for 2-Phase Flow (DIERS): managed/oversees relief size calculations (DIERS) for high pressure systems under potential worst-case process upsets. Approves relief device/PSV sizes for new and existing process vessels with varying processes; • Global warming: Oversees feasibility programs of potential processes in order to remove H2S and CO2 from power plant effluents and de-sour oil & gas. Strategize novel applications to reduce CLAUS reactor cost and improve its performance; • Oil & Gas Recovery: Manages the recovery potential of spent/abandoned oil wells that yielded less than 50% of expected barrels of oil. Manages scale-up and EOR methods to address oil plant concerns; • Managed Shale-Oil Recovery Advancement: Managed R&D concepts to determine the feasibility & cost of recovering shale oil from different shale reservoirs throughout USA. In addition, developed novel in-field rapid qualitative test to prioritize & characterize both shale an conventional oil recovery during exploration,as an intellectual property platform; • Scaled-Up of petrochemical/Chemical/Oil Processes: Managed various aspects of scale-up, including optimizing the process by refining/retrofitting the chemistry/process operations. Scale-up and process hazard studies performed to determine if scale-up of process is feasible from safety and yield prospective.
