Daily Duties at Hamburger Hamlet:

Implemented the Human Resources Department. Trained General Managers and Assistant Managers on policies and procedures. Sent memos out to the locations of any new human resources laws or procedures. Provided day-to-day guidance and support to management regarding human resource practices, interpretation of Human Resource policies and procedures, problem resolution, and compliance with Federal and State Law. Selected, interviewed, and recommended placement of candidates for executive and management positions Consulted with management to identify and recommend the most qualified candidates. Extended offers to selected candidates and arranged for relocation when necessary. Had overall responsibility for planning, designing, implementing, and administering a variety of employee benefits programs in support of the organization's business strategies. Planned and directed the development and implementation of new, improved and/or cost effective benefits plans. Ensured compliance with all legal requirements; prepares and directs the preparation and filing of legally required reports. Directed the planning, design, implementation, maintenance and administration of all compensation and benefit programs in order to maintain the organization's objectives and competitive position in the marketplace. Compensation responsibilities include base and total cash compensation programs, job evaluation, performance management programs, long-term incentive programs, and executive compensation. Managed all aspects of the company's workers' compensation program. Interpreted laws and regulations, determined appropriate courses of action, and presents solutions to resolve claims. Managed the organization's training by conducting needs assessments, developing appropriate programs including the preparation of aids/materials, and conducting a variety of training programs. Compiled, files, and maintains personnel records. Managed the overall design and support of corporate records, forms and manuals programs within the organization. Evaluated and recommends media formats and storage requirements to be used throughout life cycle of records/information. Studied and analyzed wage or salaried jobs and prepares position descriptions. Developed, recommends and writes job evaluation and compensation procedures. Coordinated the maintenance of individual payroll records, payroll distribution, preparation of year-end tax forms (W-2) and Social Security reports; and compilation of periodic and special reports on payroll matters. Inputted data from time sheets, production records, or individual time cards to computerized payroll system, including employee name, days worked, overtime earnings if any, date, gross pay, deductions, required withholdings and net earnings. Software used ADP, Aloha and Ctuit.
