Daily Duties at North Suburban Medical Center:

Responsible for the daily activities for sterile processing. Make the daily staff assignments and priority lists. Make sure the OR has all they need for the days’ cases. Everything has been sterilized by AAMI, AORN, FDA, OSHA, and the manufacturer’s guidelines. Quality check of all sterilization logs. Random quality checks of sterilized trays monthly. IUSS reports. CS monthly sterilization stats. Monthly staff rounding. Responsible for hiring, training, education, Kronos, coaching and disciplinary action of staff. Enter all new trays into tracking system. Initiate process improvements. Assist with the writing of policies and procedures. Purchasing of supplies, instrumentation and recommendation of capital purchases. Providing great customer service to the OR, Physicians, Patients, Vendors and all other staff throughout the hospital. Proficient in Steam Autoclaves, Sterrad (NX, 100S, V-Pro), Ultrasonic, Washers. Other duties as assigned.
