Daily Duties at Fresh Express Chiquita Brands International:
Coordinated, scheduled, and supervised the on-time shipping, order fill, distribution, outbound / inbound shipping activities and transfers between four refrigerated food warehouses / processing plants in the Chicagoland area - shipping responsibility for two processing plants averaging 60 truckloads per day. Managed 3 spotters, 20 loaders, 2 assistant supervisors, and 4 clerks in a busy 24 / 7 / 365 environment , managing scheduling and people issues with union employees and non-union temporary workers. Heavy communication and coordination of order needs with production departments, customers, customer service, internal transportation department, upper management, and refrigerated transportation companies. Monitored forecasts, production and inventory control of raw, processed and finished product for customer order needs, shelf life, freshness dates and food quality for optimum FIFO turnaround with minimal disposal. GMP requirements, CCPs, HACCP and cold chain knowledge and experience. White Belt Core Certification for Mastering the Art of Processing program.
