Daily Duties at First Solar Inc:
• On a daily basis initiated CdTe thin film annealing and conducted CdTe solar cell production experiments. • Performed electrical and optical characterizations of solar cell prototypes which included IV and CV profiling, quantum efficiency measurement, ellipsometry, photoluminescence, etc. • In collaboration with senior engineers designed a new device polishing experiment to understand the correlations between the buffer layer removal, surface morphology, and solar cell performance. • Created a fine polishing process for multiple metal oxide buffer layers and drafted the technical procedure documentation for the new process.
