Daily Duties at Satyam Inc. :

Program Manager and Director of consulting practice for PMO, Governance and IT Strategy consulting. • Build and manage 200+ global staff members (started with 25 and ramped-up the team to 200+) generating a world-wide consulting services revenue of $16million with over 40 enterprise clients • Responsible and accountable for end to end delivery of all client delivery • P&L management for the business unit within the 6P-5R framework of business performance metrics set by the management • Service offering, intellectual property and center of excellence development • Training, mentoring and coaching of team members, manage direct and indirect team members • Deliver strategic consulting assignments in setting up Program management office, implementing enterprise project and portfolio management tools, delivery strategic sourcing and technology strategy consulting projects Key Responsibilities include: Client Advisory, PMO Leadership and Program Management: • As PMO Strategist and PMO consultant help clients strategize, setup and run IT Program Management Office function – implementing standards, governance mechanisms, PPM tools, build-up PMO organization, build organization capability maturity by proliferation application of standardized project management standards across portfolio, drive change adoption across all levels within the organization. • Supervise program and project managers, technology strategists, business analysts, solution architects and indirect resources. Provide a point of escalation for all constituents of program portfolio, client delivery • As Transformation strategy consultant conduct qualitative and quantitative research and analysis, distilling key implications, and developing substantial portions of client deliverables – strategy, plans, roadmaps, business case, future state design documents, change management strategy and plans; Hands-on development of deliverables utilizing formal structured methodology • Provide leadership in the quality and execution of strategy and transformation consulting engagements such as IT Strategy, Application portfolio rationalization, Strategic sourcing, IT Governance, IT Portfolio management • Lead all enterprise PPM implementations from strategy, design, implementation and support phases – these are large enterprise deployments with 10 to 15 implementation team size and covering up to 20,000+ end users of PPM systems covering entre IT project portfolio Practice Management • Centers of excellence setup • Provide strategic thinking and develop multi-year business strategy, IP development, Build new service offerings • Commit and deliver revenue growth, utilization, profitability, new business acquisition, account growth targets for the management consulting business unit ; Responsible for P&L targets for the BU • Market opportunity assessments to inform growth and innovation strategies, franchise expansion, pipeline investment, or asset acquisition decisions, among others; • Product launch strategy and tactical roadmap development; Life cycle management; • People management – conduct performance assessments, develop talent, Identify new skills and competencies required for future growth, nurture future talent, mentoring, coaching and training junior staff to prepare them for new projects. Lateral hiring and ramp-up as required for client project delivery • Groom, mentor and develop talent for taking future leadership roles
