Daily Duties at Tech Mahindra Americas Inc:
Heading up Management Consulting division of Tech Mahindra, with specialization in Strategic Program Advisory and Managed PMO Service. Strategic programs specifically Digital transformation, Mergers and Acquisitions integration, Indirect cost reduction, IT Strategic sourcing consulting. Service 50+ key fortune500 client accounts across manufacturing, life sciences, financial services and public services industry segments. Manage internal strategic initiatives and projects related to industry specific solutions, consulting practice development and support new client acquisition. • Build and manage 100+ team of project managers, business analysts, solution architects and engagement managers • 20+ active client engagements • $30million services revenue • $200million active project portfolio budget under management with over $0.5billion during 2010-2016 Key Responsibilities include: Client Advisory, PMO Leadership and Program Management: • As PMO Strategist and PMO consultant help clients strategize, setup and run IT Program Management Office function – implementing standards, governance mechanisms, PPM tools, build-up PMO organization, build organization capability maturity by proliferation application of standardized project management standards across portfolio, drive change adoption across all levels within the organization. • As Program manager and portfolio manager – oversee and manage significant components of Strategic projects/programs, including guiding the work of others and fostering a team environment; Program Management of large multi team initiatives, partnering with business leadership and managing program delivery across internal IT, third party vendors and service providers. Build and manage integrated program plans and execute them such that they deliver business objectives. Apply holistic project monitoring, control, team integration, change management integration, and corrective action as needed • As PMO Portfolio Director actively engage with business leadership and program sponsors from business case development through program delivery, brokering delivery of critical programs within the portfolio, ensure organizational alignment on scope, schedule, quality, benefits and implement and monitor appropriate controls to proactively deal with barriers to completion. Cultivating business relationships to provide program leadership in a variety of organizational structure and dynamics • Setting effective governance process with a cross-functional meeting cadence; leading cross-functional meetings as needed. • Supervise program and project managers, business analysts, solution architects and indirect resources. Provide a point of escalation for all constituents of program portfolio, client delivery • As Transformation strategy consultant conduct qualitative and quantitative research and analysis, distilling key implications, and developing substantial portions of client deliverables – strategy, plans, roadmaps, business case, future state design documents, change management strategy and plans; Hands-on development of deliverables utilizing formal structured methodology. Provide leadership in the quality and execution of strategy and transformation consulting engagements such as Digital, M&A Integration, Cost reduction and IT Strategic sourcing • As OCM consultant – conduct change impact assessments, apply PROSCI ADKAR methodology to lead large-scale change programs, build change management plans, manage execution of the change management plans, conduct change readiness surveys, partner with client sponsors and sponsor coalition to implement change management related actions, work as subject matter expert of OCM on key initiatives; • As Digital transformation consultant – conduct due diligence on client business situation and develop digital business design, conduct executive level and functional leadership digital workshops, develop digital business use cases, digital technology strategy, business case, program design and roadmap. Lead delivery of digital solution delivery. Client Relationship Management and Business Development • Establish and maintain deal focused trusted relationships with clients and partners to scope, solution, propose, close and deliver complex projects • Present Tech Mahindra’s Transformation Strategy and business value proposition • Develop industry Point of View and present to CXO level client executives • Lead client workshops to help clients understand the benefits of Managed PMO Operating model, Digital transformation, Managed Services implementation options, change management and business process impacts • Business development, proposal writing and management • Estimate complex program/projects - from a solution, resource needs, and budget perspective • Collaborate in scoping prospective engagements and developing proposals Consulting Practice Development • Provide strategic thinking and develop multi-year business strategy, IP development, Build new service offerings • Commit and deliver revenue growth, utilization, profitability, new business acquisition, account growth targets for the management consulting business unit ; Responsible for P&L targets for the BU • Lead annual planning and budgeting, GTM strategy development, align with the sales and vertical leadership teams towards • Collaborate with industry vertical leaders and other competency teams to develop industry specific solutions and platforms in digital marketing, digital transformation and Enterprise asset management • Market opportunity assessments to inform growth and innovation strategies, franchise expansion, pipeline investment, or asset acquisition decisions, among others; • Product launch strategy and tactical roadmap development; Life cycle management; • Manage multiple, complex sales and delivery engagements simultaneously, oversee large program teams and collaborate cross-functionally • People management – conduct performance assessments, develop talent, Identify new skills and competencies required for future growth, nurture future talent, mentoring, coaching and training junior staff to prepare them for new projects. Lateral hiring and ramp-up as required for client project delivery
