Daily Duties at United States Army:
Counsels members of the military and their families specializing in prevention training for combat stress, promoting resiliency and providing grief counseling in a supportive environment of acceptance ensuring privileged communication. Tracking all suicide attempts and patients with serious suicide ideation through the use of the "Suicide Behavior Report." Public speaking experience in small and large group forums Performs Suicide Prevention Training for over 189 units covering the entire state of Alabama. Administers the URI and implements Risk Mitigation Plan while providing Military Resiliency classes to ensure command readiness. Provides crisis intervention, suicide risk assessments and safety plans for Veterans via phone and in person. trained and certified to serve as an internal facilitator for education initiatives (e.g., SafeTALK, ASIST, Project Adventure, and other initiatives as developed) Track suicides and suicide attempts utilizing serious incident reports. Conducts unit visits and provides counseling and crisis intervention to soldiers and their families, promoted mission readiness, encouragement, and assisted soldiers with reintegration issues Provides Suicide Prevention Training to over 100 soldiers incorporating an in-depth understanding of environmental stressors and the heightened anxiety that creates rumination and the consistent thought themes Track funding provided for suicide prevention program management, implementation, and execution. Leads the team's strategic approach to community educational programming to execute key outreach and training on suicide risk screening, assessment, and management. Completes behavioral health autopsies as required by the National Suicide Prevention Program. Ability to use Automated Systems to meet reporting requirements to analyze and summarize data Participation and provision of expertise on individual root cause analysis teams. Subject matter expert and trainer for suicide prevention training. Proficient in teaching and mentoring marital strong bond relationships.
