Provided technical advice and consultation to assist customers in mapping business requirements to available technology options and making strategic networking decisions. Directed engineering, deployment and coordination of network implementation throughout North America in the banking, utilities, and service provider industries. Ensured configuration of Nortel switches in accordance with agreed upon services such as ATM, frame relay and virtual LAN (TCP/IP) designs and specifications. • Implemented converged voice and data network solutions and managed projects throughout Latin American and U.S. regions. Overhauled legacy telephony architectures to provide significant cost reductions in telecommunications expenses) • Conducted product training, proposal development, and project hand-off and implementation expertise. • Supervised and acted as mentor for junior engineers while assigned to specific projects. Also supervised third-party contractors to perform assigned duties when needed. • Provided guidance and management to field contractors to ensure coordination of efforts towards achieving functional goals.
