Daily Duties at Globecast North America:
Drove day to day operations management of converged video, data, and voice network infrastructure including development of processes for problem escalation, problem resolution, and network performance monitoring. Reported to CTO. • Directed and managed the technical implementation of company’s first OC-3 fiber network infrastructure consisting of Next Generation switching architecture for all of North America. • Successfully completed the upgrade to an OC-12 SONET network. Coordinated internal teams and external vendors to ensure service delivery was completed in accordance with timeframes. • Implemented a converged voice, video, data network which contributed to reduction in circuit and capital spending costs while providing more capacity for additional revenue-generating services. • Led the technical design, implementation, and management of distributed terrestrial fiber network. • Designed business continuity plan to aid in disaster recovery by providing alternate routes for mission-critical, voice, video, and data traffic. • Provided 24/7 monitoring and support of WAN infrastructure spanning several national geographic locations and an international site.
