Daily Duties at Verizon:
Performs installation, maintenance and restoration of fiber-optic cables, couplers, connector panels, and jumpers. Provide engineering and field verification support for all Planning Department projects, including system plant, preparing and submitting permits prior to construction and document and report all data acquired. - Calculates fiber-optic link loss budgets for designing special projects and troubleshooting problems - Provides support to head end, status monitoring, operations, upgrade, construction, planning and Verizon Telecom in civic and new-build projects.
