Daily Duties at Oscient Pharmaceuticals:
I had complete ownership and responsibility for the promotion of Lipid altering medications as well as respiratory antibiotics to a target list of about 300 call points covering 2/3 of the state of Louisiana as well as responsibility for prospecting and opening new accounts to promote the usage of these products. This was achieved through accurate analysis of sales, competitor and insurance data, proper budgeting of promotional funds, analysis of long and short term trend data, target prioritization, marketing, resource allocation, effective presentation skills to individuals as well as groups and overall territory and time management. Main call points included cardiologists, endocrinologists, and select primary care physicians. Daily interactions included highly technical presentations to single and multi-physician practices, pharmacies, and their staffs.
