Daily Duties at Community Housing Innovations, Inc:

• Directed/supervised a staff of 40 professional and paraprofessional staff which included weekly supervision and monthly staff meetings • Completed evaluations for all staff and accessed human resource programs including PAYCHEX • Primary responsibility was to oversee a 109 unit facility, program(s) and 40 staff to ensure the clients received appropriate and necessary care and services • Played intricate role in obtaining NYS OTDA Tier II Emergency Housing Certification which included feeding 350-400 people 3 times a day, daily • Ensured facility/program met the requirements/regulations of NYS OTDA Tier II Emergency Housing and Suffolk County Department of Social Services • Used Foothold Technology, Excel and other computer programs to complete monthly reports as required by NYS OTDA • Developed relationships with local community leaders/entities • Developed programs for nursing students from local colleges, social work interns, and volunteers • Worked closely with Suffolk County Child Protective Services • Provided daily crisis management, problem-solving and decision-making for both staff and clients. Was on call for program 24 hours a day, 7 days a week • Reviewed bi-weekly paperwork for each family and conducted case file reviews • Developed, coordinated and maintained many programs to help families in areas including financial, medical and education • Very much involved with driving the team effort to move more than 110 families to permanent and/or supportive housing
