Daily Duties at National Ms Society:
● Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to create unified vision and strategic direction for nationwide services for people with MS, their partners and families. Direct operations, including operational planning and budgeting, monitoring expenses, adjusting cost projections, quarterly forecasting, and financial reporting for a department team of more than 60 employees with multiple direct expense budgets totaling more than $4 million. Currently serve as the Services partner to Strategic Finance for budgeting, planning, forecasting, and reporting. ● Engage with individual giving, pharmaceutical and corporate relations teams to identify and grow funding opportunities. Oversee $1 million in grant awards from multiple sources, authorize use of funds and support reconciliation processes. ● Lead strategic planning, development and implementation of nationwide programs for people living with MS, including education programs, connection programs, and the scholarship program. Analyze program data to determine effectiveness and recommend strategies to better meet constituent needs. ● Coach Society colleagues on development and implementation of program initiatives, translating vision into practice. ● Supervise a team of six, including three remote staff, and ensure employee engagement through scheduled team and individual meetings. ● Through current and past leadership roles on a variety of Society work teams – to include the Services Cross Strategy Work Team, FY2016 Strategy 4/5 Leadership Team, Walk MS, Wellness Initiative, Pharmaceutical Relations – influence Society-wide decisions and directions in these key priority areas.
