Daily Duties at Honeywell Aerospace:

• Directly works with the quality assurance team of quality engineers, and inspectors • Provide direct oversight of quality inspectors and technicians assembling testing and inspecting aerospace electronic components in an ESD environment. • When required manage a team of quality engineers, quality associates and quality inspectors • Oversees the day to day operations within the quality department, ensuring that all quality objectives are met. • Implement, monitor and maintain QMS to AS9100C, regulatory, & contractual requirements • Implement Built-in-Quality (BIQ) and ensure BIQ methods are deployed through application of the Honeywell Operating System (HOS). • Ensures customer issues are addressed with a sense of urgency and that corrective and preventive actions are taken to address root cause to prevent escaping defects. • Responsible for the development of, collection, processing/analysis and interpretation of quality information and metrics. • Aids in collaboration and coordination with site organization to drive product and process quality improvements. • Reviews all local policy, process, procedures and applicable documentation and tools in support of the Quality Management System. • Coordination of internal and external audits for all functional areas covered by the Quality Management System. Performs quality audits at supplier’s site if required. • Root Cause Corrective Action System Administrator and Director, hold weekly meeting to address all corrective action requests, their status as well as assign action items as required • Assumes complete responsibility of the Root Cause Corrective Action System, ensuring that all corrective actions are thorough and address the actual root cause of the issue • Apply the Lean, 5S and Six Sigma tools enhancing our ability to meet the customers’ requirements • Monitors the correct manufacturing of Printed Circuit Boards, Chassis and the assembly of complete components. • Monitors Final Inspection practices to ensure that quality inspection is adhering to local standard operating procedures, best practices and the QMS
