Daily Duties at Northrop Grumman Corporation:
• Lead the Enterprise-Level Strategic Military Recruiting initiatives responsible for developing and managing relationships with professional military/veterans organizations (e.g., MOAA, SVA, MCA, Navy League, AFA, AUSA, etc.) with the goal of increasing NGC’s reputation as a top military-friendly employer • Over the course of 2 years, have identified, evaluated, and lead the participation of over 30 different strategic partnership opportunities to position Northrop Grumman to directly interact with veterans and people’s with disabilities with the skillset our hiring groups require • While working alongside our Diversity and Inclusion organization, have leveraged interactions at meetings and conferences to pinpoint high level advocates and contacts within private, contracting, and government agencies to include the AAPD (American Assoc. of People with Disabilities), Office of Warrior Care Policy, National Organization on Disability, State of CA EDD, US. Dept. of Veterans Affairs (multiple states), The Commonwealth of MA, and the student veterans organizations of every major California State University in an effort to further NGC’s diversity mission • Designed and currently lead the implementation of new Strategic TAP initiatives (establishing long term relationships with major military commands and installations throughout the U.S) as well as the creation and management of multiple NG branding/recruiting venues • As it relates to veteran and people’s with disabilities recruiting initiatives, triggers and directly designs upgrades of Northrop Grumman's veteran application page on the careers portal as well as related distribution materials • Routinely train and work as a business partner with the Sector TA leadership and Program Directors to establish and implement short and long-term organizational military recruitment objectives and practices • Strategic efforts have resulted in an average of 300% increase in interviews, offers, and hires at diversity conferences for PwD in 2016 • Opinion piece for advice published on SVA National Conference website: http://conference.studentveterans.org/guest-blog-northrop-grumman-your-next-mission-start-the-conversation/ • Have spoken on behalf of and represented Northrop Grumman Corporation as the voice of our veteran recruiting strategy/policy on multiple occasions, including the invitation-only event with General (Ret.) David H. Petraeus and LA Mayor Eric Garcetti at City Hall • Extensive travel of between 75-90% to various military locations, colleges/universities, and special conventions to support events as needed
