Daily Duties at Morton Salt:
Managed technical sales territory, including food processing, pharmaceutical, and industrial accounts located in Illinois. Utilized technical background to identify ideal product match considering chemical properties and customer’s application. Presented Morton’s extensive line of common, high-grade, pharmaceutical, rock and KCl salts throughout various departments within national, regional, local and certified distributors’ accounts. Created and strengthened relationships throughout all levels of customers’ organization, including purchasing, operations, R&D and quality by consistently exceeding expectations proving superior technical and customer assistance in order to gain and retain business despite competitive price pressures. Collaborated internally with marketing and customer service along with both internal and external technical services, production plants, quality, purchasing, credit and logistics departments to resolve problems and business issues. Prioritized and organized workload while multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines. Analyzed customer data including area pricing, history and volume, along with more than 100 available industrial products at 40 plants and warehouses to determine the best strategy, while working internally with marketing, management and other teams to align goals and negotiate pricing at multi-unit accounts.
