Daily Duties at Hawaii Public Radio:
Built a reputable, award winning radio news department. Maintained editorial oversight of all local news content and programming. Through strategic planning, recruited, trained, and supervised an 11-person statewide team of reporters, commentators, interns and volunteers. Produced two local talk shows about business and tech, launched the political season live debate series, and established crisis communications protocol that included installing a HAM radio backup system. Facilitated media trainings for the public relations industry and college classes, and managed an intern program for journalism and international students. As a key member of station leadership helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars every six months, and participated in community events.
