Daily Duties at Mercury Insurance Group:
Was responsible for the day to day supervision of four to 5 claim representatives of varying experience level to ensure that all assigned claims were being handled in accordance with company guidelines as well as California Department of Insurance guidelines. Average number of open claims pending in my unit averaged 750 claims/month. Production metrics which were measured included: Number of claims opened versus number of claims closed; average payment per claim; number of cash-out settlements as well as monitoring incoming calls for customer service. I was also responsible for resolving all customer service issues which were escalated to my attention as well as respond to all customer complaints received from the Department of Insurance.
