Daily Duties at Mercury Insurance Group:
As Manager of Claims Audit, my department was responsible for auditing the quality of claims handling. This was accomplished by reviewing 10,125 closed claim files for initial contact; follow up contact and timely and appropriate payments. In addition, the department worked in conjunction with Senior Leadership on Process Improvement where the auditors interviewed employees and observed their work duties and responsibilities which concluded by making change recommendations to Senior Leadership. The department also became involved by assisting senior management by reviewing productivity and financial reports as a result of a new paperless computer system launched in July 2015
