Daily Duties at Pediatric Home Health:
The child that I worked with was a trach/vent patient. This included trach care, respiratory monitoring and care, and ventilator management. This patient also had a G-tube in place, which meant that there was an additional stoma to monitor and maintain, along with tube patency. Other responsibilities included assistance with hygiene, feeding, and other activities of daily living as needed. I took this job on in order to have supplemental income but it was very rewarding to work with the child and his family in the capacity that I did.
