Daily Duties at Waterone :

Reduced total cost of IT from ~15% of annual budget to 7% while increasing the number and breadth of services offered, productivity, morale, EE engagement, Etc. were tracked (via corporate initiatives) and consistently exceeded the benchmark. We transformed the IT Division to become recognized as true business partner. Often acted as an internal consultant to support strategic planning, conducted focused workshops to discover and implement process improvement opportunities, Etc. • Responsible for negotiating with multiple state and local agencies to implement shared technologies. o Implemented both Code Red and Everbridge Mass Notification Systems to establish a unified county-wide capability to communicate with citizens and businesses in the event of an emergency, Amber Alert, weather alerts, etc. These systems allowed us to provide highly tailored and geographically bound notifications to the right people at the right time. • Established support philosophy / approach for key customer groups. Initiated creation of Master Plans for IT, SCADA and key areas leading to ability to track current projects and forecast resource availability. This improved project delivery performance indicators such as cost and time. • Reduced the cost / change impact related to supporting enterprise technology while improving the availability of business critical apps (SAP, GIS, SharePoint, Etc.). • Selected by the GM and Sr. Staff to install the Model-Netics comprehensive management skills training program at WaterOne for existing & new EE’s starting with the SR Staff, Directors and Managers. • Responsible for extensive and diverse technology environment including an 80 location WAN, SAN, cyber defense products/services, Cisco UCS VoIP, W-LAN/LAN, SCADA systems, Etc. • Integrated on-premises SAP and Esri GIS applications focusing on master data elements and user workflows. This strategy eliminated data duplication saving ~$30k/yr in manual data management tasks.
