Daily Duties at Gilsbar:
Transformational Leader - Responsible for transforming the IT function from a legacy production support group into a flexible and innovative team that enables business initiatives, develops new digital Products for our customers and provides stable and reliable legacy technology services. • Delivered an industry-leading web portal & mobile app from concept to Production in 9 months. The product is based on Bootstrap/MVC/C#/jQuery/SQL 2016/Azure IaaS components. o The innovative self-service capabilities of this portal enable significant process efficiencies and workflow benefits related to on-boarding new members, personalization of product configuration options using system of record-based business rules and order management processes for insurance brokers and agents. This Product was commissioned for a Top 5 insurance company and supports a guaranteed six sigma SLA. This e-Commerce platform will securely and seamlessly scale to millions of supported users as new business is converted. • Hands-on project rescue of a stalled MS CRM Dynamics 365 & SharePoint, SaaS, Azure, AWS IaaS implementation. Project was over budget and had not defined what “finished” would be. I contributed requirements gathering processes, project effort estimation, project plan development and cross functional leadership to complete successful implementation within 4 months. • Documented savings realized in my first year at Gilsbar for IT spend exceeded $200,000 while increasing overall staff productivity, customer satisfaction with IT services and employee engagement within IT.
